Who is responsible

Membrero is built and run by Sven Breynaert (sole trader, enterprise number 0864.813.297, VAT number BE 0864.813.297) in Brussels, Belgium. If you have a question about your data, or want it deleted, write to hello@membrero.com and you will reach a person, not a ticket queue.

If you ask for a demo

The form in the demo section sends me four things you type:

• •your name
• •the name of your school or club
• •your email address
• •roughly how many members you have

Two more things are recorded automatically when the form is sent: the country your request came from, and the date and time. Neither your IP address nor your exact location is stored.

Why I am allowed to use it

You asked for a demo, so I use these details to arrange it and to answer you — steps taken at your request before any contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. You are not added to a mailing list, and the details are never sold or shared for marketing.

How long it is kept

Demo requests are deleted after 12 months. If we start working together, your details move into the ordinary customer records and are kept for as long as the account exists, plus whatever Belgian bookkeeping law requires.

Who else can see it

Two companies handle the request on the way to my inbox:

• •Cloudflare — hosts this website and runs the form endpoint
• •Resend — delivers the resulting email

Both are bound by data processing agreements, and transfers outside the EU rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Membrero's own customer data is stored on servers in the European Union.

What you can ask for

You can ask to see the data I hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to receive a copy, or to object to it being used. Email hello@membrero.com and I will answer within a month. You can also complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority at gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

Connecting your Meta ad account

If you run a school on Membrero, you can connect your own Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ad account, through Meta's own login screen. Your ads always run in your own ad account, on your own payment method and under your own Page. Membrero never pays for your ads and never owns them.

Once your account is connected, Membrero reads:

• •the ad account's name, ID, currency, time zone and status
• •whether a payment method is set up — not the card details; none are stored
• •the names and status of your campaigns
• •daily spend, impressions and clicks per campaign

It uses these only to show you, inside your own Membrero account, what your advertising costs and what it brings in.

If you ask it to, Membrero can create campaigns in your ad account. They are always created paused: nothing is published and nothing spends money until you switch it on yourself in Meta Ads Manager.

Conversion reporting to Meta

This is off unless you turn it on. When it is on and someone signs up or pays for a class, Membrero can tell Meta that a conversion happened, so you can measure which of your ads work. Personal details are hashed (SHA-256) before they leave Membrero, and this is only sent for people who gave your school marketing consent. Without that consent, nothing is sent at all.

How Meta data is protected

The access Meta grants when you connect is stored encrypted, on servers in the European Union. It is never shared, never sold, never used for any school other than the one that connected it, and never sent to AI providers.

Your school is the controller of its own members' data; Membrero processes it on your behalf, under a data processing agreement. How Meta itself handles data is governed by Meta's privacy policy.

How long Meta data is kept

While the connection is active, the cached advertising figures are kept so you can see your history. When you disconnect, the access token is deleted immediately, and the cached advertising figures are deleted within 30 days.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it.
